POLDER community event
Shifting diets: integrating insights from different disciplines
We are looking forward to our first POLDER Community Event of the new academic year! We will have three speakers discussing different aspects of the protein transition. There will also be a borrel afterwards.
Abstract: Shifting away from animal protein is critical to preventing climate breakdown and protecting biodiversity—even if we rapidly phase out fossil fuels, the emissions from our food system would push us well beyond 1.5°C of global heating. But how can we make this transition? Join us at our next Polder Community Event for an engaging, interdisciplinary exploration of the protein transition! We will hear from experts in psychology, law, and computational modelling to better understand and model the many challenges associated with the transition. Our first ever Polder Lab will also focus on this topic and how we can trigger social tipping points to accelerate change. We welcome your input on these topics and hope to see you soon!
